Spinocerebellar Ataxia

Here's the other Jdorama I bought, in english it's 1 Litre of Tears. It's a true story about a 15 year old girl named Aya Kito. This drama is an adaptation of her diary, which was also published as a novel.

The story starts when she started to loose balance and tripped often which her mother soon noticed which made them consult a neurologist, she later then found out that her daughter is suffering from Spinocerebellar Ataxia (a disease with no cure, and the cause which is commonly unknown); it's a cause due to the shrinking of the cerebellum. The story continued on as the symptoms of the disease got worsed. She suffered 10 years under this disease but she never lost faith and hoped, she continued on dreaming. On the age of 25 she died on the hospital bed surrounded by flowers and her family.

Spinocerebellar Ataxia

Spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA) is one of a group of genetic disorders characterized by slowly progressive incoordination of gait and often associated with poor coordination of hands, speech, and eye movements. Frequently, atrophy of the cerebellum occurs.

The symptoms of the condition vary with the specific type, and with the individual patient. Generally, a person with ataxia retains full mental capacity but may progressively lose physical control.

Spinocerebellar degeneration is a rare inherited neurological disorder of the central nervous system characterized by the slow degeneration of certain areas of the brain.

Ataxia

Ataxia is an aspecific clinical manifestation implying dysfunction of parts of the nervous system that coordinate movement, such as the cerebellum.

Sensory ataxia is employed to indicate ataxia due to loss of proprioception which generally depends on dysfunction of the dorsal columns of the spinal cord, in some cases, the cause may instead be dysfunction of the various brain parts that receive that information, including the cerebellum, thalamus, and parietal lobes. Sensory ataxia presents with an unsteady "stomping" gait with heavy heel strikes, as well as postural instability.

Vestibular ataxia is employed to indicate ataxia due to dysfunction of the vestibular system, which in acute and unilateral cases is associated with prominent vertigo, nausea and vomiting.

Non-hereditary causes of cerebellar degeneration include chronic ethanol abuse, paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration, high altitude cerebral oedema, coeliac disease, and normal pressure hydrocephalus.

There is no specific treatment for ataxia as such, although there may be for the underlying cause. The disability of ataxia may be reduced by physical therapy, including exercises, along with leg braces or shoe splints, if foot alignment has been affected; a cane or walker is often used in the effort to prevent falls.

Aya suffered under this symptoms, at first she had a difficulty on walking, then soon after her eyes tend to loose focus, then soon after she can no longer walk properly, so she needed to use a wheelchair. After suffering those difficulties she soon had a hard time writting, speaking and eating. She also caught pneumonia due to the difficulties she's suffering.

Well, he seriously didn't intend to make me change my customized blog to blogskins, well... I just felt more like... changing some stuffs XD LMAO. Leks-senpai ne? LMAO.

So yeah. I ain't really in the mood to joke around, I more feel like tired from thinking too much. Golly, this whole summer vacation is putting me under great big pressure. My head aches a lot, I can't sleep, I usually space-out and hotdog! I know it's because of me. It's because I tend to loose focus on what I want, what I want to say or do. And I'm so sick and tired of my self right now. I wish and pray he's not. But if I am, I guess he is too. Everyone gets the feeling right? My thoughts? Like if you say sorry more than a hundred times it won't work anymore on the same person. And yah... soooo much for that!! I'm really depress because of the heat. Hahaha, yeah, more like that. But it's raining lately... and it's still hot!! Or maybe OUR head's just hot? Well I hope a huge WAVE would ran over us to put the fire off. This is really absurb... I can't take it anymore, if you guys can & if he can, well... I can't. I really can't. And yahh... this is like... yah! I don't know what to do anymore ( ;___; ) I feel like everything's going to end. It's like a very thin plastic filled with a huge amount of water and if I gawddamn poke it with my fingers it'll dramatically explode, and I mean it! My head and my heart is soo like that. And I'm so sicked and tired of that feeling. Even if it was just 3, yes! 3 days! It's still... I don't know. I can't take it, if it concerns him, yes I can't take it! Not even a single day can I take it. It's just too harsh! Too painful! And yah. I still don't know what to do. Hahaha, anyhow, we need to brighten up, and yes, I believe I'll find myself successful if that's the case, but really, if he says that and if this continues on... I mean those two really HURTFUL things, I really really won't be able to take it! Well for a few months maybe, but really!! It would still leave a hot burning mark and it'll be months to erase. And yah, I'm ranting random stupid stuffs but still. I don't feel like getting mad, getting sad and I really don't feel like being happy nor giddy about anything, I honestly don't wanna feel anything at all! Well, yeah, so much for that. Hahaha, I still don't feel okay though ( ^___^ )

I guess I have to say thanks to Leks for pushing me on to the bright side, though I ain't dead yet, I feel more alive than sitting alone in a room thinking. Meg's been busy, and I guess I have no one to lean on. Thanks Leks, hope we could see each other soon. Well yah, he's been there when I've been feeling really... as in really down, and I'm glad he is, I can smile and I could still stop myself from crying, you know how great friends are ( ^___^ ) I'm so glad I met him.

Pray for your safety, and I'll pray for mines.
Just kidding.
Hope I'll stop ranting and feel okay.

We don't really know what tomorrow's instore for us. Even if I know we would still be in this condition, I still hope and pray that in the end of the day we'll finally be okay. I'll wait. Zutto. Zettai.

Yesterday was Megu-chan's birthday, we celebrated it normally, and it was fun XD Actually, it really was! LMAO ( ^ _ ^ ) She's now 16 and tada! Today's her first day in St. Benilde! And I'll be off to see how she's doing /gg

Well yeah. So much for that. I'm excited for college, for no particular reason. LMAO. So yeah. Good PM to everyone. Wanted to post something lang.

Okay, so from the last post I mentioned there that we went to Glorietta, and happily, I already finished 3 DVD which I bought. I really feel inlove with the JDorama Kurosagi, YamaPi's role was awesome! He was the best (^ ^)v, and he's really kawaii! (o^ ^o). I also finished Honey & Clover, starring Ikuta Toma, it was funny because of him. He's really a good actor too! His role suits him more than Sho to be in fact (^ ^)v But still, they're both awesome actors! Yay!

Anyhow, Kurosagi means Black Swindler, a swindler of swindlers, coming from the words Kuro meaning black and Sagishi meaning swindler. His name is Kurosaki, and thus forming the word Kurosagi (^ ^)v, kawaii desu ne? Anyways, he became a swindler because his family was swindled by a man named Mikimoto, because of that his father killed his entire family and then committed suicide, demo Kurosaki survived and lived on to avenge his family, he planned to kill Toshio Katsuragi, a man feared by all swindlers, since Mikimoto bought the swindling plan from him. But then later on he made a deal with Katsuragi-san, that he'll buy informations of Shirosagi and swindle the money they swindled from innocent people. This is when Tsurara (Horikita Maki) who wanted to become a prosecuter came into his life, she labeled her bimbo (poor) and a plagued from god for when she came everything turned out to be wrong; he was almost caught by the police, she always objected his ways, his cat growing fat, and his identity exposed to a huge number of people (which is bad for Katsuragi-san). He met many misfortunes and was brought to prison for a day and was released the next day, and this was all because of Katsuragi-san. (^ ^)v So to simply put it, if Katsuragi wishes to keep his chess piece, even if they get caught by the police, they would be simply released immediately. Yay! Soooo, you should watch it!!

Kurosagi is not really drama or romance, and the touch of comedy is even lesser, but all in all it's a great JDorama, even my mom was forced to sit down and watch with us (^ ^) YamaPi wa honto ni subarashii desu ne?

Been bored.
CR active again.

LMAO. Anyhow I've been bored lately, so I tried CR once more, got motivation to add more points and so here we are. I made new friends XD And I really love Jenny-chan, she's nice and easy to talk with. A fellow blogger, which I'm glad of. Still active for being an Arashi Fan! I will never get tired of them. And yeah, I'm still longing for that DVD. Sad to say, but I'm still hoping I could get one.

We finally got to go to Glorietta, and thank goodness! I finally got to buy DVDs of Ikuta Toma and YamaPi! Love 'em! And yeah, they're all drama, didn't noticed it, but there's still the touch of comedy. Haha, I actually danced just to make me stop crying from some special parts. LMAO. So yeah, even though it's boring I'm still enjoying summer, especially the thrill that I'm going to college now! Yay! I'm so happy!
